Call for abstracts

As with the past ISHE Institutes, the main idea is to organize an event with practical courses about methods or analyses used in the area of human ethology research that would be free of charge for presenting students. We especially welcome students’ presentations in initial phases of their research projects, so that they can receive a valuable input from other participants. However, anyone can submit a presentation, and join us with valuable discussions.

Students of any degree who present their work will also have accommodation free of charge during the duration of the Institute, and all participants are welcome to join social dinner and other social programme, specific for each location.

All abstract proposals should be submitted in English, and in the South American location you can present your poster in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. Please provide clear, direct, and objective communication. Abstracts must clearly show the relevance and pertinence to Human Ethology and related areas. Please provide the abstract title, full names and affiliations of all authors, and email address of the presenting author.

Guidelines for abstract submissions
Only poster presentations are accepted (except the North American location, which will accept both talk and poster presentations). You will need to have ready the following information:
Contact details of the presenting author
Full ordered author list and author affiliations
Abstract (250 words)

After abstract submission
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee and the presenting author will be contacted as soon as a decision is made. The Program Committee reserves the right not to include submitted abstracts in the meeting programme.

Student First Authors
First author (i.e., presenting) students (undergraduate, master, or PhD) whose contribution has been accepted as poster paper will be exempted from the registration fee and will be allocated to free (shared) student accommodation and banquet ticket.

The deadline for abstract submission has been extended: May 7, 2023
