Traveler Information
Due to the pandemic situation, there are currently only a few regulations in effect in Germany. The COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Germany have been lifted and travelers do not need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test. However, it is mandatory to wear a FFP2 face mask while using public transport in Germany. We will monitor the situation and will inform you via the ISHE conference social media channels about any changes. However, please make sure to check the current regulations prior to your trip, anyway. Please find a few links to official information below.
Safety and Hygiene Standard
At the ISHE conference, we propose a series of safety and hygiene measures that are intended to prevent SARS-CoV-2 transmissions. In order for all participants to enjoy a safe conference, we encourage you to consider the following recommendations:
- Please keep a distance of at least 1.5m from others wherever possible.
- Indoors – or wherever the recommended minimum distance is not possible – you should wear a face mask.
- Please practice the usual hand hygiene, as well as cough and sneeze hygiene.
At the conference venue, we make sure to provide a sufficient supply of fresh air indoors, and we also provide hand sanitizers. In addition, each participant will receive four free rapid test kits at the registration desk.
In the case that you suspect having contracted COVID-19, we ask you to participate in the conference only remotely via Zoom. Typical COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell or taste, sore throat, nasal symptoms and body aches.
Contact Tracing
We recommend that all participants use the official German exposure notification app (“Corona Warn App”) on their smartphones. The app has been praised for its data privacy and security standards. In the case that you contract COVID-19, the app provides the means to anonymously inform other app users who have been close to you that they are potential transmission contacts. When entering the conference venue, use our provided check-in QR codes to tell the app that you are participating in the conference.
